Strengthening Public Finance Management II
The specific objectives of the programmatic series are to: (i) increase both internal tax and customs revenues; (ii) improve the relation between the Internal Revenue Office (DGI) and taxpayers and reduce transaction cost through a new tax code; (iii) reduce in tax collection costs; (iv) reallocate public spending to poverty reduction activities; (v) improve management of human resources and personnel expenditures; (vi) increase public investments; and (vii) improve overall fiscal transparency.
