Support to safety net and gender empowerment in Guyana
The general objective of this project is to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security (MHSSS) to implement the social safety net and promote gender empowerment and social inclusion, in line with the goals of the Policy-Based Program ‘'Support to Human Services in Guyana'' (GY-L1086). The specific objectives are to: (i) strengthen the project management capacity of the MHSSS; (ii) promote the digital transformation of the MHSSS; (iii) foster empowerment and inclusion of women involved in the Women's Innovation and Investment Network (WIIN) in Business Clinic, people with disabilities involved in the activities of the Learning Lab, and indigenous peoples across social programs; (iv) support the expansion of electronic payments for the Senior Citizen's Program; (v) support the victims of gender-based violence (GBV) through the strengthening of the policy frameworks and the response of Survivors Advocates program.
