The general objective of this program is to reduce Barbados' dependency on imported fossil fuels through the increased use of Renewable Energy (RE) and Energy Efficiency (EE) technologies. The specific objectives are to: (i) reduce electricity consumption by implementing RE and EE measures; (ii) reduce Green House Gases (GHG) emissions from liquid fossil fuels used for power generation and transport; and (iii) increase institutional capacity for the management of RE and EE programs.
