Highway System Caracas-La Guaira
This project will provide technical assistance funding to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Venezuela for the preparation and negotiation of a private-sector concession contract for the Caracas-La Guaira highway system that can also serve as a model for future concessions. It will finance legal, financial, environmental and technical assistance for the preparation and negotiation for the concession contract, so as to ensure that the contract allows for the project to be financed in the international financial market and to provide a guarantee to the government that the level of service, works, maintenance, and safety of the roads will be in accordance with international highway sector standards.
