The Rigth to Identity: Advancing Civil Registration
The general objective of this technical cooperation (TC) is to support increases in the coverage and performance of civil registration systems in Latin America and the Caribbean as a foundation for individuals to exercise their citizen rights, have access to social services and engage into productive activities, under the framework of the Opportunities for the Majority Initiative. The specific objectives of this TC are: (i) to provide technical support to countries in the preparatory stages of reform and improvements to civil registration systems; (ii) to increase regional analytic and technical capacity for more and better quality IDB and national operations to address underregistration; and, (iii) to support, coordinate and disseminate regional knowledge, lessons and technical products on civil registration.
