Conversion and Valuation of Urban Solid Waste (Biomass) into a Renewable Energy Source

The objective of this technical cooperation (TC) is to support Paraguay in generating a new alternative fuel to replace the biomass currently used as industrial fuel. It will be a solid fuel derived from urban pruning residues, aligning with the principles of a circular economy by promoting the reuse and recycling of organic waste, thus closing the materials' life cycle and contributing to environmental sustainability. This initiative promotes technologies to enhance the country's new self-sustainable management systems, increase resilience with a focus on innovation, and contribute to the fight against climate change.
