Comunication plan to promote Road Safety in Haiti

The objective of this operation is to reduce road accidents in Haiti, through a communication strategy. Through this initiative, it would be possible to increase the awareness of road users (drivers and pedestrians) about the risk factors, the most effective measures for accident prevention, and also the importance of continuing education on road safety. To start with, the focus of the initiative would be on the road users along the 80 km corridor Repos to Saint Mark, financed by the Bank through operation HA-L1046. The expected result would be a corridor with less accidents, which could be showcase for the development of similar initiatives elsewhere in Haiti and the Caribbean.
