Productive Development Support of Indigenous People - Sibundoy Valley

The objective is to support the performance of legal, institutional, technical, environmental, and socio-cultural studies aimed at: (i) delimiting and formally establishing an IMZ for the Indigenous Peoples of the Sibundoy Valley in Upper Putumayo, in compliance with the requirements and procedures of current Colombian laws and regulations; (ii) conducting technical, environmental, and economic prefeasibility studies and a preliminary business plan; and (iii) creating and training a mining enterprise that, while preserving the sociocultural traditions of the indigenous peoples, seeks to undertake sustainable commercial exploitation of the construction materials deposits in the IMZ, thus generating a financially and environmentally sustainable source of continuous income and promoting the social and economic development of this population.
