We strive to build a workplace where we all belong

It is crucial that we are transparent about our progress so far and where we are heading. Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) reports explain our targeted efforts, how we measure our progress, and the areas we will continue working on in the upcoming years.

We know there is no progress without accountability

Our organization has earned the EDGE certification for the third time,  a prestigious business distinction recognizing our efforts to be an equitable workplace. EDGE has evaluated our organization on equal pay for equivalent work, recruitment and promotion, leadership development, training, mentoring; flexible working arrangements; and company culture.

The IDB is the first development bank in the Americas and the second worldwide to earn EDGE Move, the second level of this distinction, which reaffirms our commitment to placing equity at the center of our talent management efforts.

In our culture, everyone brings their best and authentic self to work, tries new approaches without fear, and is accountable and rewarded for their actions.

We acknowledge that building a culture of inclusion, equity and belonging demands being international at every step of the process.

Led by our employees and open to all, our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) build spaces for everyone to feel empowered, share experiences, join efforts that match their interests and passions, advocate, and much more.

Our ERGs offer support, strengthen community participation, and plan initiatives that promote awareness and advocacy about meaningful topics.
