Security and Justice Digital Transformation Roadmap for LAC
Design an innovative instrument entitled: "Digital Maturity Model for Security and Justice" based on a tool that allows self-assessment on digital transformation, monitoring and measuring progress in each LAC country through an automatic questionnaire. The result will be a maturity index that will allow the institution to know where it is in its transformation process. The "digital" transformation of security and justice institutions involves improving the efficiency of their processes, institutional transparency, guaranteeing institutional independence and legal security, as well as restoring citizens' confidence in them. These transformation strategies promote the institutional strengthening of both, the improvement of normative and regulatory quality as well as the alignment of legal frameworks in multiple jurisdictions, together with the fight against corruption, the building of trust and the strengthening and legitimacy in their actions.These factors are key because they have a direct impact on the country's investment prospects and economic growth and stability. Therefore, regulatory developments in relation to the digital transformation of justice, or strategies to modernize and strengthen police forces are perceived by investors as positive developments that will lead to more stable investment scenarios.
