Support to Paraguayan municipalities for their institutional strengthening in urban planning and use of tools for integrated and sustainable urban development
The objective is to support the Government of Paraguay, and the municipalities of Asunción, Concepción, Ciudad del Este, Encarnación, Villarrica and Pilar, through the Ministry of Urban Planning, Housing and Habitat (MUVH), and the Association of Municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of Asunción (AMUAMA), with training in metropolitan management mechanisms and in the development of comprehensive urban planning instruments through the use of different innovative training tools that will provide knowledge on technical, environmental, climate change, gender and diversity, and social issues. and economic, which will make it possible to define strategic actions and investments in each of them in order to promote sustainable and resilient development. Strategically, this TC will allow the Bank to learn more about the needs of the AMA and the cities identified in Paraguay, building study bases for resilient and sustainable urban development, directly attending to the subnational level.
