Develop a community based model for sustainable hillside farming which will deliver greater economic gain to small scall hillside farmers while alleviating current environmental threats caused by current practices and sustaining the natural resource base of the Northern Range. Specific Objectives of the project iare: 1. To pilot a replicable model for sustaining livelihoods of small scale hillside farmers in the Northern Range while protecting the resources of the ecosystem and alleviating negative downstream impacts:2. To support the social and economic development of participating farming communities 3. To communicate the approach and learning and assist in the scaling up and replication of this model
