Managing Water Resources
The primary objectives of the proposed study are: (a) to provide a diagnostic of the present situation of water resources in the country, based on the natural conditions, existing uses and on the current legal and institutional framework; (b) to develop a management plan involving short, medium and long term action leading to an efficient and sustainable use of water resources in Paraguay; and (c) to indicate possible actions for the Bank in financing the sector. Indirectly, the project could play a significant role in enhancing the ongoing regulatory process for the water sector as well as the privatization framework.
