The objectives are: 1) to bring to the forefront among academic centers of excelence in the LAC, the study on the challenges and opportunities open to the region by international agreements on climate change; 2) to assess better the political economy implications of climate change issues; and 3 )to analyze adequately the key public policy decisions that are necessary in developing national and regional strategies for climate change.
