The pilot will serve to: (i) test the feasibility and viability of a solution developed to provide connectivity that is affordable, simple and easily supported in low tech and low power environments; (ii) obtain valuable data on investment impacts and performance benchmarking to measure the positive social impacts of the connectivity, and the installation/maintenance costs; (iii) analyze the characteristics of the stakeholder's demand for the service; (iv) design a micro-loan scheme to finance costs; and (v) analyze the social and environmental impact of the model.
